Malja was jam-packed on Saturday, the 5th of September, for the launch of our biggest and most inclusive exhibition yet. The Malja Call Out exhibition also marks our first open-concept showcase, where we posted an open-call, inviting all kinds of creatives to apply and have their work featured in our Gallery space for the duration of Call Out. At the launch, Malja Bahrain has officially started showcasing the work of 50 different artists in the kingdom, including paintings, drawings, installations, photography, writing, and short films. This massive exhibition was curated at Malja by Ramah Al Husseini and the Malja team, and launched from the 5th of September to the 31st of October, 2015.
